The electricity we use every day is made from fossil fuel, solar power, or hydro, but how does our brain make energy?
Electrical currents run through the body's nervous system which is made up of networks of nerves. These currents are called impulses and are formed by the movement of charged elements such as sodium , potassium , calcium and magnesium. When the nerves send these impulses to an organ at a cellular level it creates a biologic response.
